Fashion Resolutions!

I'm a huge fan of New Year and the celebrations, in fact in some ways I like it more than Christmas (shock, horror.... "But on New Year's there's no presents"... I'm not actually too bothered about presents, although it's always nice to receive them!). I just love making New Year's resolutions (yes, I'm one of those crazy oh-my-god-I-broke-a-resolution-excuse-me-while-I-die-of-shame people). Anyway, it's a new year, a fresh start and I am launching this blog on the 1st, so that's when you'll be reading this. It's kinda freaky that I'm talking from the past here, a bit like saying when you're looking at the stars, you're looking back in time, because it takes (something ridiculous like) 100 years for the light to reach Earth. Let's just hope I keep these resolutions~ (these are the fashion/blog related ones, I have more personal ones, but I won't be sharing those!)

1. Keep going with this blog - I want to have at least 1 or 2 posts each week, but maybe more if I have the time, since after my exams I'll have a little more free time. Also I really love blogging, but sometimes find I can't think of anything to blog about... At this point, maybe I'll ask you guys (however many there are of you) or friends for inspiration or just go on Tumblr or Lookbook for some inspo.

2. Create a wardrobe (by this I do not mean get the wood out, do some dovetail joints and knock together actual furniture by the way) that I can enjoy and get the most out of wearing, with interesting vintage pieces mixed with charity shop finds and high street awesomeness.

3. Buy some velvet pieces - I am totally in love with the velvet trend at the moment and I'm dying to find a beautiful velvet dress or skirt.

4. Take some risks with my clothing, maybe some neon and crazy clashing prints? Let's just make it fun - I want to have fun and be young this year, since I'll be turning 18 in August.

5. Get contacts! I hate wearing glasses all the time (and this may seem silly, but I've not had the pleasure of going glasses-free since I was 7!).

6. Read fashion magazines other than Company (which I just adore) and take inspiration from them.

So those are the fashion resolutions my friends. Hopefully I'll keep them!

Do you have any fashion resolutions? (Or fasholutions - does that work?) Are you planning anything special for this year?

Take care,
Louise <3
