The Big Wardrobe Transition

It's time.

I know I've mentioned this and I got back into Lolita... But I was addicted to J-Fashion (for those who don't know, that means Japanese fashion) and I wore a street fashion called Lolita that originated in Japan and became popular in the 1990s (as you know). Towards the end of 2012 I realised that the Loli-life wasn't for me; and after spending countless hours (and about two grand) on the fashion, I decided to sell it all. But a few months later I got back into it and finally I'm completely over it. It's not that I don't love Lolita (I've kept a dress and a salopette that I couldn't bear to sell, though I did sell all the others), but I hardly wore it (even the second time) and felt someone else could give them a better home (God, it's like we're talking about a puppy or something - I'm so sentimental and silly!).

Since selling my Lolita stuff, I've been building a new wardrobe, and this is my before and after!
I've separated most of my wardrobe into two sections: dresses, skirts and some trousers in the actual wardrobe and tops, jackets and jumpers on my clothes rail. Also tights are in an organiser in the wardrobe and shoes under my rail and in organizers. Finally my small collection of jewelry is on a DIY organizer and my scarfs in a shoebox.

There we have it! My wardrobe transition!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my new non-Lolita set up and I apologise for the lighting in some shots, it's evening here at the moment and the lolita photos were taken a long time ago.

Take care,

This Jumper Probably Belonged to an Old Man!

And I'm not bothered at all, since this must have been a rather stylish old  man (perhaps his fashion-conscious wife bought it?)

I was feeling rather grunge-y today and I donned what are my typical blogging clothes. Also my best friend, Louise, (no, not myself, but rather someone who is the complete opposite to me with the same name) said I looked exactly like a typical night blogger on their way to Camden or something... Perhaps not Camden, I'm not out-there enough, but anyway, I'm ranting. So old jumper from the charity shop - check. Leggings - check, and creepers (the leopard print ones, classic, today) - check.

I also found some other good things on my charity shop escapade, which I may show in a future post! And with summer nearly here I need to inject some pattern and print into my wardrobe, of course.

I've also been a little obsessed with my denim jacket recently, I found it in the charity shop where I work, for a mere £18 (it's Wrangler), when I've been eyeing up similar ones on ASOS Marketplace for £40 more or less. BARGAIN!

Jacket: Charity Shop
Jumper: Charity Shop
Leggings: Romwe
Creepers: New Look
Rings: Dorothy Perkins
'Perfect' bracelet: Etsy
Nail Varnish: St James by Nails Inc

I had to do that last jumping shot! Haha, it was actually my dad's idea, he's awesome <3

Anyway, I hope you liked and let me know what your typical blogging attire involves! I'd be delighted to know!

Take care,
