Old Habits Die Hard

Hey again! I'm sorry my blog has been silent for a week or so, I was having a minor identity crisis (I appear to have these fairly regularly). Do you remember that I made this blog as a transition out of J-Fashion to more "mainstream" (and by that I mean non-crazily-colourful-extremely-expensive-Japanese-brand) fashion. Well, that was the plan. I left the fashion I was involved in, which I doubt any of you would really know about, but it's called Lolita (and no, it's not to do with the book! Although I do hear that's an interesting read) and I had around 12 dresses and 5 skirts in this style. I sold all my pieces but a skirt and 5 dresses, and a week or so ago, I fell back in love with Lolita! I didn't realise quite how much I'd missed it until I wore it again. I bought a romper (we call them salopettes - or at least the Lolita community does) by Angelic Pretty. Here, take a look~

And I was unsure of what to do with this blog, but I do still have a non-Lolita style so I want to continue with that here, but with a few Lolita posts, a sort of amalgamation of the two. So if you find it interesting, please let me know and I'll add a few J-Fashion things in! It's a very interesting fashion I must say, and I also purchased a dress a few days ago: Lyrical Party by Angelic Pretty~

Anyway, I just wanted to explain my hiatus and let you know about my fashion decisions!

I hope you'll continue to check out this blog occasionally, and I promise to post a couple of times a week, although I have exams soon.

Thank you for reading!

Take care,
Louise <3

Casual Sunday

Well hello Clarice..
I mean, uhhh, hello my readers and although there are very few of you it seems, I hope you enjoy reading this blog (though the posts are few and far between at the moment, I'm sorry). I can only apologise profusely (what a lovely word), I'm afraid. Anyway, in all of my outfit posts I've given a lot of thought to the clothing on  my back and the accessories adorning my appearance, so for a change I decided to show you a daily outfit - no vintage, no frills and no out-there prints! This is most likely a one off, since I'm not really a huge fan of casual outfits (unless I'm merely pottering around the house, eating vast quantities of sour skittles and drinking copious amounts of hot chocolate as I often do).

Now, less talk, more outfit~

Well hello there!
Casual looking-down shot...

Simplicity I like to think!
Now, this photo would make sense if I were walking along a wall or something, but whatever!

Shoes and of course, odd socks (gold star if you noticed *winks*)

Not a very intricate or eye-catching outfit, but hey, fashion doesn't have to be flash 24/7.
The jeans are from Miss Selfridge and actually are a new purchase. Recently I lost a fair amount of weigh and all my jeans were huge on me, but these fit perfectly. The shoes are really old and from New Look, I do believe. Whilst on holiday in France I bought the striped t-shirt (long sleeved and super comfy) and the cardigan is also new and from JOY (one of my fave shops). Finally, the hat is my dad's... Very cool....

I hope you enjoyed this post and you'll be hearing more from me soon!

What would you wear for a super casual day? Or are you a fulltime flash-fash girl?

Take care,
Louise <3
